Our blog readers will easily remember our review of Logitech iPad 2 keyboard and may naturally ask the question: Is it a repeated review? Obviously no. Logitech has just released a new wireless keyboard to the market with major changes from the original, both in design and usability aspects.

We will approve some of the user comments circulating on Internet about the weight of case + keyboard. Yes, it is a bit heavy in combination but in a manageable way. Before the key features of the Logitech tablet keyboard for iPad 2, let’s clear another claim. Several people stated that the connection point between the case (in stand position) and tablet a bit weak and not durable. We didn’t have any issues about it in our tests. We snapped them together easily and securely. Now, the pros.
The bluetooth connection setup is done easily, straightforward and completed in just seconds. We even didn’t need to repair them after several uses.
The keyboard layout and low profile style is perfect. Very easy to type without mistakes if you are a decent typist on a laptop. The special function keys to control media features of iPad works as stated in ads. We expected a highly qualified build quality from Logitech and not disappointed. The keyboard works with 4 AAA batteries (the box includes pre-installed ones) and has 3 year warranty.
Let’s state some other interesting observations. We were able to connect the keyboard to our PC, Mac and even to an iPod Touch. We now suspect that it would maybe work with some major Android tablets if not all thanks to standard bluetooth pairing technology. Since, our blog is solely about iPad keyboard and keyboard cases, we will not investigate it more.
Overall, Logitech Tablet keyboard for iPad and iPad 2 is a good buy if you type a lot and do not care much about a bit of non-lightweight feeling.
